Motifs For Carry Along Crochet Projects

When you are looking for a crochet project that is easily portable, to carry along with you and work on when you are going to be away from home but will want a craft project to work on now and then when you have a chance, consider a project made of crocheted motifs. These vary in size from just a few rounds to many but are generally smaller than other crocheted items and easier to bring along in a tote bag. Finished motifs can be joined later to form various types of items. Joining can be done using a yarn sewing needle (that has a needle eye large enough to thread the yarn through, using yarn of the same weight that was used to crochet the motifs).

When the first symptoms of gout appear, the disease has already been in your body progressing for quite some time. After the first pains appear, you have already gone through the first stage of gout, the asymptomatic stage. There are a lot of things going in during this stage of gout and you may or may not even know you have it. The culprit: Uric Acid.

During the asymptomatic stage of gout, the uric acid levels in the body are beginning to rise slowly and silently. Your kidneys are stepping up filtration, but sometimes fail to control the levels. On top of that issue, you continue to do things that increase uric acid levels such as; consume beer, organ meats and drink little water.

We all have some uric acid in our bodies and it gets filtered out and we feel fine. But those with a high risk of gout have abnormally high levels in their bodies. During the early stages, the elevated levels of uric acid form painful crystals that become embedded in your joints and soft tissues causing irritation.

If you are at higher risk for gout due to family history, obesity and high intake of foods that raise uric acid levels, then it is important to practice good prevention to avoid gout. If you have already acquired gout, there are healthy forms of gout treatment that can help your body reduce these high uric acid levels and control the disease. Whether or not you have gout, knowing the culprit can help you make healthy lifestyle choices to avoid high uric acid levels and prevent severe disability from this disease.
